Pasisaw (Mushroom) – Hmar Hme
Pasisaw (angl. as pa-si-so) is a type of edible split gill mushroom scientifically known as schizophyllum commune. Among the Hmar tribe, it holds a status as a delicacy, often prepared as hmarchadeng (chutney) by mixing it with ngathu (fermented fish) and water. Typically, it thrives on decaying logs in forested areas, with a significant presence notably in Hmarram (Pherzawl district).
