Zeikul: The Last Stronghold of the Thadou Tribe in Hmar Hills

Zaikul, situated on the bank of Tuiruong (Barak) river, was known to be the last stronghold of the Thaduo tribe (Kuki) during the Hmar-Thadou(Kuki) ethnic war. The Hmars won a decisive victory after surrounding Jaikul/Zaikul (now in Manipur) for days.

You guys deserve recognition or awards for continuously hosting useful information about our tribe. I hope our so-called cultural and students associations take note of my concern. I have been sharing photos from your website with my friends in Chennai and they really liked them. Kudos and keep up the good work.

Very very true. I say don’t even award singers like Nenglawmkim for their achievemnets. It is unlikely our organisations take note of the ambassador work done by Hmar websites by introucing to people around the world
