Vaki (Parrot)
Vaki (parrot) is one of the common birds found in Hmar Hills. They are usually found in groups but prolonged deforestation in the form of shifting cultivation has resulted in the migration of the birds to the deeper areas of the hills. However, they are still seen visiting the paddy fields during harvest season.
