Orange harvest in Hmar Hills (Damdiei)
Orange farms were a big hit with the farmers in Hmar Hills during the late 80s and 1990s. But most of the orange trees in Taithu, Parbung and Patpuihmun villages perished due to diseases and attacks from insects. There are still some farms in Damdiei village and this photo is taken from our farm in December 2010.
