Thiek Pastor Biel Centenary Celebration at Boro Muolkoi
The Thiek Pastor Biel, which is under Ngaibantlang Presbytery of the Cachar Hills Tribe Synod, Presbyterian Church of India, joyfully celebrated its Centenary from 27th to 30th November 2025 (1925-2025) at the Headquarters, Presbyterian Church of Boro Muolkoi, Dima Hasao, Assam. It was a historic and spirit-filled gathering, marking 100 years of God’s unfailing guidance, provision, and grace upon the Church and its people. This momentous occasion was also observed together with the Presbyterian Youth Fellowship (PYF) Platinum Jubilee (1950-2025), making the celebration even more meaningful.
The four-day programme was blessed with powerful messages delivered by esteemed servants of God — Rev. Jubileethang Hrangchal, Rev. H.T Sawna Thiek, Rev. Laldinglien Inbuon, Rev. Chonghekthang Hekte, and Rev. Rothangkhum Thiek. They were accompanied by Rev. Lalmalsawm Faihriem, Rev. Lalramhmuok Khawbung, Rev. Jacob Taite, Pro. Pastor Jubilee S. Thiek, Rev. Lawrence S. Khawzawl Pro. Pastor Ephraim L. Varte, , Pro. Pastor Samuel Lakiang and delegates office bearers from Ngaibantlang Presbytery and Cachar Hills Tribe Synod, whose dedicated presence added warmth and encouragement to the entire celebration. Their sermons and guidance uplifted the congregation to remain steadfast in faith and continue the legacy built by the pioneers of the Church.

Thiek Pastor Biel comprises several congregations, including the Presbyterian Church of Boro Muolkoi, Presbyterian Church of Retzawl, Presbyterian Church of Retzawl Vengsak, Presbyterian Church of Arda, Presbyterian Church of Balisor, and the Presbyterian Church of Joynagar. Members from all these Churches, along with invited delegates from various regions, gathered in thousands to witness and partake in the joyous centenary and jubilee celebration.
The event was further beautified by heartfelt praise and worship. The Presbytery Choir, Thiek Pastor Biel Choir, and several local artists presented melodious songs that lifted the hearts of the congregation. A grand “hundred-voice choir” also rendered a special number, symbolizing unity and harmony in Christ. A centenary feast was served on Saturday, allowing all attendees to share fellowship and celebrate the blessings of the Lord together.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the Local Chairman and Centenary Committee Chairman, Elder Lalhmunhuol Hrangchal, along with Mr. Lalrothang Thiek, Secretary, Centenary Committee and Biel Chairman Elder Remsang Darngawn expressed great joy and gratitude to God. They were deeply thankful that the entire programme was completed smoothly and peacefully, without any difficulty — a true testament to God’s guiding hand over the Centenary and PYF Platinum Jubilee.
The Centenary of Thiek Pastor Biel — celebrated alongside the PYF Platinum Jubilee — stands as a shining reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness throughout generations. As the Church steps into its next century, it continues its mission: to preach Christ, serve the community, and remain a beacon of light in the Cachar Hills and beyond.
