Parbung (since 1897)

Parbung, situated in India’s Pherzawl district, was established in 1897. Today, monoliths still stand tall, marking over a century of the village’s existence. These monoliths serve as a tangible symbol and a visual footprint of the Hmars’ early presence in Manipur, reminding us of our (Hmar) historic settlement in the region.
