Ruonglevaisuo, Hmar Hills, Manipur-Mizoram Border

Ruonglevaisuo estuary (also known as Tipaimukh) is of great cultural importance to the Hmar tribe of North East India. It’s from here many Chin-Kuki-Mizo tribes trace their gradual movement to other parts of the region. The early Hmars believe that this place was their ‘Pielral Kawtsuo’, where the dead departs from earth to begin another journey.
